Simply the Ceremony
We pride ourselves on providing transparent Services and Fees, ensuring you understand the costs involved for each ceremony option.
Simple ceremonies are conducted in the presence of your two witnesses in the presence of the minister or officiant solemnizing your marriage. Each of the parties shall declare their desire to marry, (Intent and Consent) after which you will be pronounced to be married. An exchange of rings may also be included in the ceremony.
A valid Marriage License (issued at the municipal level and valid for 90 days) and a Record of Solemnization are required. Documentation is recorded and secured, and your wedding is recorded in the Marriage Register.
My fee: ~ $250 + hst
Traditional Weddings
Traditional ceremonies can vary from a more formal gathering of friends and family to an elaborate wedding rich with customs and traditions with guests and the gathering in a place of your choosing, these ceremonies involve more preparation and planning than the simple wedding. For example, planning the ceremony and the vows you will share with each other, choosing the music, readings, spiritual elements, etc.
Spending time with me over one or two occasions helps me to understand you both, and to weave the path that has brought you together into your ceremony.
My fee range: $350 – $500* + hst
*The fee range varies based on the level of personalization in the ceremony.
The Rehearsal
Many couples like to have a full rehearsal of the ceremony with the wedding party in the days leading up to the wedding, so everything flows smoothly on the big day.
Officiants are often asked to attend the rehearsal to run everyone through the flow of the ceremony, working through timing, positioning, and choreography of the processional, parent/loved-one hand-off’s, and the recessional.
My fee range: $125 – $200 + hst
Renewal of Vows
Renewing of vows can be for any number of reasons, and to celebrate with a purpose. Typically associated with milestone anniversaries, a renewal of vows can also mark other milestones, such as retirement or grandchildren. Perhaps you have turned over a new leaf and your lives have emerged from times of hardship and you want to acknowledge a renewed promise to share life’s joy together.
Whatever the reason, a renewal of vows is to be celebrated with purpose.
My fees: $300 + hst
Naming Ceremonies
Naming ceremonies are as personal as they are varied. Most often, a naming ceremony is conducted for a newborn, to welcome the child into the family, while acknowledging siblings, grandparents, and other close friends and relatives.
Or perhaps you want to name your new farm or sailboat – and that can be just as joyous – as you gather with close friends and family to celebrate a new chapter in your lives!
My fee range: $200 – $300 + hst
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life provides an occasion to remember our loved ones and to share those memories in a way that highlights and honours the unique life lived.
A Celebration of Life should not focus on the end of one’s time with us on earth but rather acknowledge the Soul contract completed, and the Spiritual return to where life began.
My fee : $400 + hst
